Silicon Savannah has become a synonym for East Africa’s vibrant entrepreneurship scene. Leapfrogging “old” and jumping on to latest digital technologies has made entrepreneurial ventures in East Africa highly prosperous and interesting. It is for that reason that Google is opening an AI research center in Ghana and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is investing millions of dollars in the education and training of African IT specialists.
